Studio time!

I really need to go to the studio! I have some new ideas for some paintings and soft sculptures. Hopefully I get to go this weekend. It's just so hot inside. You literally have to wear some cool comfortable clothing. I had a kids art workshop in July, and it was so hot. I thought it wasn't going to be that bad, but it was really hot. I want to have another one when the temperature starts cooling off. It was so much fun and the kids liked it so much. They didn't even care about the heat. Today will be another hot day so stay cool everyone!

In other news this weekend I had my family come over to swim. It was so much fun. We ate hotdogs and did a little swimming. I'm so glad they came over. The art show on Friday was a success. I'll post some pictures later. We all had a great time...it was a little hot in the building, but other than that it was awesome!

Crafts

I've been thinking about how much I love to do crafts. Yesterday I made some small soft pillows. I couldn't finish the second one because I ran out of stuffing. I used it all for the big soft sculpture I have at the Wonder Years show. I need to buy some more so that I can make some new pillows. I want to set up an account with Etsy the craft website. My husband wants to start one up with me so that we can sell some of our work on the website! I think it would be a pretty cool way for us to get our work out there for everyone to see and purchase!

Ohhhhh Noooooo!

I think Ari is teething again!!!!! He woke up really cranky. He seems ok now, but he has his moments when he starts getting cranky again. I hope my baby feels better soon. It's pretty cool we posted some about me's and added a video. i'm really excited about this blog. This Friday is the Wonder Years art show at Rising Gallery. I hope to see a lot of new faces and meet new interesting people.

Ari's Clouds

Made this soft sculpture for an art show that I'm going to be a part of this Friday at Rising Gallery. My husband helped me make it. He spray painted it for me. It's going to be cool to show this sculpture. I'm really excited about this piece. I also made two other small clouds. My son inspired this piece. That's why we named it after him. Check this piece out at Rising Gallery July 29th. Starts at 7pm.

Swimmingggggg!

Yesterday Ari and I went swimming with Benny and my BFF Syl. It was pretty fun hanging out with them. We pretty much where at the pool the entire afternoon. It felt so great to just relax by the pool. Today we are going to eat lunch together and we are going to meet up with one of my other BFF's Lin. Some of my family is supposed to come by and go swimming today, but that later this afternoon. This day is going to be a good one.

update for the day

It's been a while since I last blogged. So much has happened! Ari is finally here...he is 6 months old now. I'm so happy to finally have him in my life. He means the world to me. I am in love with my little man. I have been out of work since he was born. I'm liking it so much. I'm sure I will have to go back soon. I'm enjoying this time though. I can't believe I haven't been blogging. It's such a great way to just let everything out. I'm starting a new blog with my friends. It will be up soon so I will put the link on my blog. It's a blog where we can write about whatever we want. I'm really excited about sharing this project with my friends.
