working

well im here at work wondering what to do, and well i decided to write in my blog. for some reason i always feel i have to post a picture to go with my words, but i guess i dont always have to do that. last night daniel and i went to the movies and we watched the dark night. it was pretty good...but it felt weird watching the movie knowing heath ledger is gone. this weekend is kixpo, which means dallas here we come. in other news i think im going to have to start painting portraits. who is going to be my first subject??????

pinturitas

i made a couple of new paintings. i finished them all after work one night. i've been trying to find some new inspiration so that i can start a new series of paintings. i usually tend to dig into my familys life stories. i like to hear about their experiences in life. i've been thinking about painting portraits, but im still thinking about it. the other day daniel and i watched this movie called fur...its about this well known photographer diane arbus. i liked her idea of photographing people who were not normally photographed. she takes portraits of sideshow people, drag queens, and anything that is not normal. i like her ideas and the way she feels these people are beautiful in their own way.

sea world

last weekend the whole familia came down to san antonio and we all went to sea world. it was so much fun! it was kind of weird to actually see dolphins and killer whales in person. they were all beautiful...it was so cool to see the killer whales while they performed all their tricks! i had a blast at the water park in sea world. seriously you need about two days in that park because there is so much to do!

zoo

i'm so happy i had the day off today....woooo hoooo! so what did i do on my day off? well i went to the zoo and i had a blast. theres not that much going on in sa, which is why we decided to go to the zoo. it was pretty hot out there but it didnt bother us...it just felt good to do something different! daniel and i are pretty excited to go home this weekend because of the graff battle! hopefully people make it out there...oh yeah make sure to dress cool because its going to be killer hot out there!!!!

farmers market

last weekend i went with the familia to the farmers market in dallas, and well what can i say...it was great!! the fruit was delicious and the weather was perfect. i ate a roasted corn and it was the bomba...que rico!!! benny boo sat on the curb like he was a big boy. later that day i spent time with my sis and my cuz+x. x rocked his boots like he was a cowboy. we were also invited to be in this fancy rich people art show...it was aight. thats a whole other story, which i will talk about later.

leaky

we went to garner park in leaky, tx. it was so much fun...everything about it is still beautiful. my family and i would always make a trip to the state park every summer. it had been a while since we last went to leaky, but this time i got to take my daniel. he fell in love with the river because he didnt want to get out the whole time we were there! i really needed a trip like this! the best part of it all is that daniel and i are not to far from the river and we can go whenever we want. woo hoo!!!!!!!!
